Google recruiter completely unresponsive?

So I’ve made it past the hiring committee at Google, was told by my recruiter that now I needed to have a hiring manager interested in me. I found a hiring manager on my own who had an opening, and both of us had contacted my recruiter. She’s completely unresponsive to both of us.. and I’m guessing it’s because my case is not a priority to her. When I originally spoke to her about team matching, she mentioned that I should let her know if I take another offer - then she would take me out of the pool of candidates that I am in. Any ideas on how I can push her to schedule the fit call with the HM? I’m tempted to just schedule time with him, as he’s super responsive.

Ask HM to contact the recruiter for setting up the call

HM certainly knows other people in the recruiting organization to reach out to or escalating with their own team if the position really needs to be filled... Seems like laziness on HM

This is effing insane. Low IQ recruiters think they are gods

I would definitely have the HM reach out again. If that doesn’t work, you may see if there is another recruiter that the HM can connect you with

C'mon, I'm sure there are plenty of smart people here. Can't some of us get together and automate people like this recruiter out of a job? They add nothing to this industry.

For real.. especially third party recruiters making 10% of placements first year salary.. what a god damn joke

Recruiting is significantly harder than people give it credit for. 10% fee is easily reasonable for placing a candidate. The company makes that 10% back so quickly from a good engineer.

Very normal. My friend’s hiring process took almost 5 months and for weeks at a time the recruiter would drop off the map. She was eventually hired though.

I’m almost at 6 months 😰

But yes fingers crossed everything works out, I don’t want to bug them too much.

How did you find hiring mgr on your own?

I emailed someone who interviewed me at my onsite, they happened to be looking and interested

Google jhgb Jul 11, 2019

Most interviewers don't give email. Did u message on LinkedIn?
