Google recruiter wants to talk one day after my last on-site interview. Is this a reject?
I had a one week gap between first 4 on-site interviews and the last 5th one. She said she was attempting to gather feedback fast because I had other interviews (other companies moving fast). However if she wants to talk to me one day after my fifth interview, does this mean I have been rejected?
Most likely. Hiring Committee would take a bit longer to make a decision, plus all feedback is not gathered that quickly.
If there was the gap of one week between 1-4 and 5, isn’t it possible the recruiter already had all the feedback from 1-4?
I got my HC approval 4 days after my interview.
how do you feel you did? maybe recruiter just wanted to align expectations for timeline and potentially get you started on team matching if you didn't do horribly. It usually takes a few days to get feedback and HC will be even later. no way it's a 1 day turnaround for a hirng decision.
I can never be sure. However since I prepared a lot, I never felt like I was losing control in the interviews. Did not get the feeling any of my interviews were disasters. I thought some went well actually. This is for a PM role

This sounds more or less like the build up to the rejection I had not too long ago.

Do recruiters inform you if it’s going to the HC as a next step?
So couple of things come to mind that others might have mentioned or asked.. Did you set salary expectations already? It could be a follow up call to confirm that aside from a reject feedback call, another item would be to align with your timeline since you are interviewing with other companies.
We have not discussed any specifics about timing or salary yet.

If this is about TC expectations then why did the recruiter say she is expecting 5th interview feedback today in addition to have feedback from initial 4 on sites already?
Just ask via mail if it is a good news or not?
