Google refreshers 2022
Did Google raise their refreshers recently for l4-l7? There was some grumbling from Googler's regarding a 'pay raise' here on Blind recently, did it happen? Last I checked Google's refreshers from 30% lower than Metas before Meta raised refreshers this year. #google Edit: Recently confirmed the L7 case, which implies the other levels are still accurate. You should also add location. Different geos have different refreshers I’d guess.
Lost Cost Of Living will typically drop these numbers by 20-30%, depending on what finance thinks they can get away with.
Can someone explain this to be with real numbers? L6 hire with an initial grant of 500k/4 at 33%, 33%, 22%, 12% What are the refreshers in year 5 and beyond?
Refreshers get layered over four years starting in the next year, just like your initial grant but in addition to it.
Refreshers start in Year 2 and are based on title, job family, and geo. Using the initial 500/4, A rough guess would be refreshers starting in year two and would be? 240/4 (with the same 33/33/22/12 schedule?) Y1 165k initial grant Y2 165k initial grant, 79k refresher Y3 110k initial grant, 79k refresher Y4 60k initial grant, 53k refresher Y5 29k refresher Is this how it works?
I’ve been with Google since Jan and have not seen anything about raises.
Would appreciate if anybody from Google could share the numbers for 2022 (last cycle) (by level)
