Recently, the recruiter told me that the position I have been interviewed for has been filled, and he has forwarded my application to a larger recruitment group he is no longer assigned with my application. What should I do here? My interviews are complete, and feedback is positive. Frustrated from current work Total YOE 3 Location India
Apply elsewhere. If you can crack google, you can crack most other companies too. Lot of good companies are hiring in India. You can try Cohesity or LinkedIn.
How do you find them openings? I can barely see any less than senior openings on LinkedIn
I got good number of calls at 4 YOE. Op with 3 YOE with Amazon tag should get some too. I am not sure if market is tilted too much >3 YOE.
Send a mail to the previous recruiter asking for the new recruiter's work/company email address. After you get that follow up with him bi-weekly via his company email asking for any updates and in these mails CC every @google email you have including previous recruiter, keep doing it till you get a response. It may sound spammy but that's how I got the job after recruiters ghosted me after first 2 interview rounds so I just kept doing the above till I got the offer letter Good luck!
Not bad advice but I’d hazard that biweekly reaching out is too often, maybe weekly. You don’t want to hound them either. Play it by ear; getting positive feedback through the G gauntlet isn’t easy, congrats
Hopefully they mean every two weeks! Twice a week is definitely too much
Things you need to remember 1. Current project always get board after certain time 2. The code in current project is so bad , no process followed 3. How good the manager is still we feel something could have been better 4. Technology stack , office environment so boring . Thinking above and looking forward for new assignment is so good and it will be great in all technilogies with best salary ….. until you change the job and cycle starts once again within 6 months … What people learn with above cycle , do strategic moves and keep changing job for every three years and accepting any project as work and look ways to improve your self and the work you are doing … While changing job , be quite and look for multiple alternative options simultaneously focusing pay and work environment( motivated with new challenges and social interactions ) than a renowned company and its benefits ( which makes you lazy with its cool benefits)
bad english, good advice!
No, advice is bad as well.
Internal transfers probably took it, perf ratings were released and people switching away from managers that don't like them
Mind sharing topics (algorithms) of onsites? Loop coming soon.
no one shares those :\
You are from pwc, what do you care about lc?
Happened to me too. And I finished 4 interviews plus hiring committee approval in 3 weeks and still in between someone swooped in and took the position. They said the same thing about helping me look for other roles and that was 7 month ago.
What level is this for
Same happened with me. A new recruiter also reached out to me with another open position, asked me to fill a new application for a different position which she only shared on mail but now she is also ghosting me for two weeks 😫
Have patience. It will happen. I completed interviews in may 2023 and got offer letter in feb 2024
