Google employees in risk of jumping ship to OpenAI were given up to multi-million$ worth of RSU๐ฅ Guess their ongoing strategy is to lay off 10 non-essential workers to keep one AI talent https://www.theinformation.com/articles/googles-defense-against-openai-talent-grab-special-stock
Might easier to just offer the employee over employment option to work both at openAI and Google at the same time. Don't need to offer as much as a full job switch and less risk need to take by the employee. I'm sure the employees would enjoy the extra money on top of their open AI money. Plus Google effectively have a corporate spy that can keep up to date on open AI progress. Instead of just a snap shot
?
Meanwhile, all other Google products take a hit and those RSUs start to decline. AI regulations kick in and 2024 is spent defining what AI means. Google starts laying off its AI team in 2025 due to uncertainties / AI regulatory risk is deemed too high and tries to figure out how to fix their products by re-hiring ex-googlers.

Please Help :: Should I pursue CS Masters in USA or remain in India to join Startups?
Eh, it won't be worth much at the rate they're advancing, compared to OpenAI. If these employees are really that smart, they already know that.
