I asked the Google recruiter to postpone my start date for a few weeks, but was told there are no start dates available in August and September and I can only start in October. I was a little surprised because typically companies want new employees to start as soon as possible. Is this this normal? Or is hiring freeze has anything to do with this?
It's actually what led to the hiring freeze. So many new hires that haven't started yet. They limit the number starting each week to a number that onboarding can handle.
@Bayer.corn_field Yes, Looks like Google just decided not to allow anyone start in Q3 2022. The earliest start date is the first business day in Q4 (10/03/2022)
Thanks for the info
Too many new hire in H1, very tough to help new hire ramp up so no new hire in Q3 just to digest all new hire and ramp up.
