Hello Blind community! I'm a senior graduating from university and got offers for Microsoft and Google. I interned at Microsoft and really liked the team, work/product, and chill WLB. However, Google's refreshers/rewards, promo cycle, growth and brand make it pretty convincing as well. Here are the offers: Company: Microsoft Title: SWE Location: Redmond, WA Base: 112.5k Stock: 120k / 3.5 years Signing bonus: 50k (25k first year, 25k second) Yearly Target Bonus: $11.25k (10% of base) Relocation: 5.5k TC: $184k first year Company: Google Title: SWE Location: Seattle/Kirkland, WA Base: $118k Stock: $90k/4 years (33%/33%/22%/12%) Signing Bonus: $10k Yearly Target Bonus: $17.7k(15% of base) Relocation: $8.4k TC: $184k first year Current TC: $0 #swe #engineering #software
What team at G ?

Go to Google for all of the reasons you mentioned (refreshers, rewards, growth, etc). You’ll also probably find all of the pros you listed for Microsoft at Google. Also there is always more time to negotiate, just ask the recruiter to extend the deadline.
Google is obviously going to win if poll is included
Google obv, is this even a question
Hi, what were your Google interviews like? And personally, as a new grad, I would factor in location as well since TC and Prestige is roughly the same (G probably has more prestige still)
Final rounds were 4 technicals and 1 behavioral. 3 of them were LC easy/mediums and 1 was LC hard.
Oh great! Were you able to get to solve all of them? Do you have any preparation recommendations given your experience?
google refresh at l3 is literally 10x higher than ms 59. take google
Man I got shafted on my new grad offer compared to this lol
What did they give? This seems like a standard new grad offer for msft excluding the additional sign on
80/3.5 and 20k sign on. This was around March 2020 and I thought covid was going to end the world so I accepted. I even accepted before finishing my apple interview. Oh well lol
But to be fair, how much is that 80K worth now?
Hi OP, congratulations on your offer from both companies. I have a new grad onsite interview with Google, could I dm you to hear your preparation and some tips on the technical interview?
Thanks! Go ahead, dms are open.
Google Try to negotiate with your competing offer
These are the final offers after negotiating both. My deadline is this Monday so no time for further negotiating.
Go with Google. What was the initial offer?
