Google vs Quora
Currently L6 SDE in AWS and have an offer for Google L6 (TC~550) and am expecting an offer from Quora in the next week or so. Assuming salary of 225, how much would your equity package (over 4 years) have to be in order to consider Q over G? Current TC: 600 (appreciation with giant cliff incoming)

Quora is just a pretty version of Yahoo Answers. I don't see any future there. Maybe ads but not sure how much interesting engineering work will be there.
Anyone saying no to Quora - Google has 15k engineers while Quora has 200. That's impressive for a product that popular. Think about the impact and learning. More chances of meaningful work at Quora.
All work on quora is wasted energy
I dont understand why you need 200 engineers to build a qna app. A simple google app probably has < 10 engineers and im sure some of those have more downlods than quora loll
Quora used to be an amazing product but is now an absolute shit show after their failed attempt at improving profitability. I wouldn't assume that the stock is worth anything.

Quora is dead now IMO..platform full of bots and spam. Not what it used to be
