Google vs Samsung vs Synopsys vs NXP - India
Hi all, I have offers from the Google , Samsung (Memory division ), Synopsys , and NXP, all in the hardware domain. Leaving the compensation aside , can you all suggest which should be a better choice in terms of career growth in a tech role and learning opportunities ? Money is equivalent in all .Samsung is willing to pay more. Also I have been offered the memory division in Samsung ,which is considered the best , leader there . Would be working with the Samsung foundry . Google is a leader too but not sure about how it can compete with the already existing leader in semiconductors.. You would know better . Your thoughts??
make sense. memory is good, as far, i heard from friends. what everyone does in samsung india is debigging. i work on mobiles. if money is more, u can prefer samsung. but samsung wont give shares. and hikes sucks at samsung.(i dont know ur position). i prefer google. as quality of engineers, beside us, will be better than samsung.
Synopsys & NXP wouldn’t be able to beat Google TC. Samsung has shit culture. Google is an obvious choice.

all The divisions? Samsung is paying good money though. I will be working with Samsung Foundry-Memory division so very closely with Korea . Some divisions/Work might be good there ? I heard memory div is good and WLB depends heavily on teams
I started my carrier with Samsung. Also some of my friends in Sri b and srid. In past I was with startup and presently in Google. In some teams Samsung work is good. However there is cultural issue. People in India are treated as second class citizens. I can not specifically coment abt your team but afaik major quality work is still in n korea. Second issue is fucked up hr policy. In fact you will scanned while entering and exiting office like airport. You mobile camera will be covered. You can not get out laptop from office though they allowed because of covid. No perk in office like some offices doesn't have beverage except tea & coffee. Rating system and when Samsung doesn't perform well people get piped. Last but import one is comp. May be today they have offer you more but hike are pretty average there. Also in the absence of stock you will soon get off the market. Google has every year refresher which makes it most attractive among others.

Why ? it is for hardware division - ASIC PD CAD.. Google should have been an obvious choice for core software.Not sure about the hardware prospects. Can you please elaborate.? Thanks for your reply !
Isn't google investing a lot in their own hardware? Might be good growth, RnD opportunities
