In 2018, Google workers successfully pushed the company to end a deal with the U.S. Defense Department. Called Project Maven, it would have helped the military analyze drone videos. In 2024, google fired 28 workers who protested against the project with Israel. In 2018, they succeeded because the market was different. But they mistakenly think they are the owners of the company. Being able to solve medium LC doesn’t mean that they are irreplaceable. How naive they are! Under the current job market, they are not different than janitors.
