Hello Googlers, (asking as a former Googler) Read that Weekly TGIF is ending at Google. converting to monthly meetings where questions will only be taken for the biz strategy topic being presented. 1) How do you feel about this? 2) Leaks were cited as the reason, but is the real reason that questions were getting too tough? And it led to further activism? 3) Do you feel you are being silenced? Would you have other forums to ask the hard questions to your execs? article for reference: https://www.theverge.com/2019/11/15/20966718/google-weekly-all-hands-tgif-staff-meeting-changes-ceo-sundar-pichai

Uh oh: President Trump leads Biden 49% to 43% in a two-way race.
Working not in Mountain View I only ever got like one TGIF per month on my calendar anyway. Maybe I could stream the others, but I mainly go for the beer and food anyway. π€·ββοΈ Then we also have an occasional local office TGIF that is boring, but catered with food and beer/wine. The execs BS the Q&A anyway. Sometimes the BS is so obvious that Sundar follows them by saying something like βlet me add that weβll follow up on this.β Eileen gives me a solid cringe every time she answers any question.
