As part of relocation benefits they budget for closing costs of a new home. Am I crazy to think I may be financially better off to just buy a small home to live in and sell/rent it out when I change jobs or location a year or two down the line? Anyone hear of people doing this? I'll be moving to Seattle btw. EDIT: Would there be tax implications I should be aware of? I know selling within two years would earn me short term capital gains tax. TC $270k #meta #home #realestate #relocation
If you’re planning to get a house in 1-2 yrs, if the real estate appreciation is good in the said area why would you want to leave free cash on the table?
Right? I guess it's just kind of hard to wrap around the idea of putting so much money down so soon...
