Hey I got all positive feedback for Snap L5 position , but then because of my work authorization circumstance , they could not proceed with offer . After a while recruiter could confirm that I can start from the location where I am right now, but she said Snap cannot generate L5 offer for this location, but only L4 even though I start in the same team that was hiring me. Snap engineers, managers, recruiters What would you advise to me in such case? #snap #snapchat I have Amazon L6 offer, Netflix positive on-site feedback , rejected Meta offer E5(400KCAD) Current TC: 450K CAD Amazon L6: 500K CAD and they ready to bet higher
Tf does work authorization mean?
Don’t have a US visa yet
Which location are you
Depends on TC || GTFO
Totally agree if Snap ‘s offer will be high enough than what I have at the moment , I’ll consider it
Original L5 Snap comp was about 600K USD , but now I am not sure what would be a new comp
If the compensation is good and you don’t have any other offers and are willing to bet on snap, go take it, or if the role is the only thing you live for, dont take it, in my opinion, take it, snap pays really well at any level
Yeah really iam in love with Snap team, product and tech.
looks like they figured it out, just make a jump, dont be fooled by all these blind posts, finding the team and the manager you like is rare goes a long way in ur career
How many days did it take to get the feedback. Do you now meet stakeholders or was this the final one
I ve got feedback 2 days after. Then I met with 5 HMs within this org and I talked to each of them. Then I supposed to get a verbal offer but due to absence of US visa they start to look for alternative ways to start me with Snap.
Sorry I meant Netflix
I’ve got their feedback during the last on-site round 2 with manager and 2 days after from the recruiter
Did u get offer from Netflix
Nope not yet
Did you interview snap India office? Or Canada office
I had a similar situation from Snap a little while ago, they gave me a different excuse because I'm US citizen. In retrospective it was BS. DM if you want to talk more
Which team/org in Netflix?
Sounds BS
