TC is higher than where I'm at now but I'm wondering about tech industry perception of Accenture (do people really join Accenture mid-career from tech?), exit opportunities and WLB. #Accenture #tcorgtfo
Best to join ACN when you are ‘Wide eyed & bushy tailed’ …
Acn pays less, but I enjoyed working there. Good people and good culture imo. But I guess it also depends on teams
Lmao, please don’t leave tech to join ACN…it’s the other way around
Leaving Accenture to Big Tech. I don’t really get the sweatshop reference. Yes we do some boring implementation work and some outsourcing (don’t know many doing this) but we also do some really cool work.
I second being in tech is where ppl want to move to. Exit opps are better. I wouldn’t leave tech to join. I’d leave to join tech
Dont do it. Went from tech to ACN and the engineering is way behind. Got out after a year. Depends a lot on the client too. But if you appreciate software craftsmanship, you will have a tough time. If you want to tech consulting, Thoughtworks is good
Typically, people leave Consulting to go into Tech, but there have been reverse flow albeit a bit rare. Accenture offers great client facing opportunities, which can appeal to some people in tech who have pretty much desk jobs and no client facing deliverables. If your TC is higher, it maybe Wirth the switch
I moved from Tech to ACN and enjoying the permanent WFH in my project and WLB. Pay is less than Tech but no unrealistic deadlines and PiP culture.
What level, role and salary they are offering to you ?

Modi is a legend, will be remembered for centuries to come
No, people don’t join Indian sweatshops mid career from tech. That would be a very, very strange move.
