Recruiter said "Hope you feel well! I have feedback from the phone interview". Now I have to select a calendar date to speak with her...did I fail? Why is she being cryptic?? I think I did well on the ps but I'm getting so paranoid. What does this mean? Also the email says call will not last longer than 5-10 min...
Doesn’t mean anything definitive
Google always provides interview feedback over the phone. Just relax. Can't change anything now lol
Okay but why not just call me?
They want to be courteous of your schedule and may need to discuss a few things with you
And why the heck they won't say it in the same message when recruiter said "Hope you feel well..."? Unnecessarily stretching a small message. Crapy liberal bureaucracy!
Exactly
Don't overthink this out. They call to give a feedback and if the next round is on-site, it's a different recruiter who'll work with you on that. Probably just to let you know.
Why don't they just write that in the email then?
Lol, you'll get that too. After the phone call though.
I got the same. Did video interview on Friday. Got an email the following Monday with similar wording and wanting to call me on Friday. Friday came and went with no call and no response to my email. Still waiting and tomorrow is a new Friday
In kinda the same boat right now with Facebook. My recruiter hit me up today after the interview yesterday and said “I should be getting your feedback later today. Let’s setup a time to chat tomorrow.” It’s very likely that they just want to follow through with a call either way and is not indicative of failing.
Update: just got off the phone. It was positive feedback!! Really odd how they worded it so cryptically. Onto the on-site now...
LinkedIn did the same to me for my phone screen. But when they called it was positive feedback.. I was like why the hell did you just not mention that in the email 🙄🙄
What was the outcome?
Interviewed with google about a year ago, same type of email every step of the process, whether it was positive or rejected.

High performers, how often do you have slack off days?
Can’t say. They do call for rejection. So don’t hold that out of the question.
