Got fired from my job at a startup in a month

I’m Software Engg new grad. They said they are looking for someone with more hands-on experience. Also that they don’t have any tasks related to my skillset. It was sudden and unexpected. I’m unemployed as of today. former T.C. 100k (Clarification : It’s not Singularity)

In some cases it's not you, it's them. Unfortunately their immaturity affected you in a negative way.

Hard to believe it’s not my fault that things changed so drastically

Microsoft Krololo Sep 13, 2019

It would be much easier for them to blame you

Don't forget to ask referrals here and don't forget repher dot me. What's ur Location?

Google d3j88wq Sep 13, 2019

Not your fault. It takes more than a month to ramp up and they should have hired someone with industry experience if that's what they wanted.

Singularity University richelle OP Sep 13, 2019

There’s no way they are getting an experienced candidate at that T.C.

Yep

You know the pain

Getting fired in the Bay area is hardly a problem. While it may take some effort to find a FANG level job, you'd easily find a job like the no name startup you were working for by the coming week

Singularity University richelle OP Sep 14, 2019

I sincerely hope so

This, along with other reasons, is why I don’t even consider working for startups
