Got my first Windows laptop, do people install Netflix and Disney+?

Haven’t used a Windows laptop in ages. I noticed there is now a “Microsoft Store” which I presume is similar to Apple’s App Store. I find it curious there are Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ apps. Is there any advantage to installing these vs simply using their website on Chrome?
