She wouldn’t start the tech interview process unless you are forced to accept the comp range(much lower than numbers posted here). Anyone had same experience? The recruiters I work with never started the comp talk before positive feedback from interviewers. Is this the new norm or just an outlier? Shall I work with a different recruiter from Grab Seattle? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Grab recruiters are under intense stress and could lose their shirts anytime, so you can’t really blame them. Try to interview with a better company out there.

Nope, I negotiated after. It's poor taste on their part. Maybe ask for a different recruiter. I have heard though some Amazon people take a pay cut in money to join, but it's Amazon, so it makes sense they want out.
