Are you the seller? Because if the actual rating is higher but Zillow shows lower, as a buyer you can take advantage of that inefficiency.
I’m neither just an avid watcher and trying to understand what impact it would make, if any on home prices
When we were looking, we first targeted neighborhoods based on school score, and only then looked at MLS matches in those neighborhoods, so a data lag wouldn’t have mattered.
Imagine if greatschool can impact Cupertino housing price …
Zillow/redfin should move off of greatschools
This! Totally misleading!!
Just find the most expensive school and go with that
Schooldigger/niche are better
Waiting for the same.. schools around me went up. $$

Yeah and it’s BS. They include “diversity & equity” as part of their 10 point scale rating. A school that scores 10/10 for college readiness but a 5/10 for “D&E” will have an overall score of 7/10 So think about it in reverse College readiness : 5/10 D&E : 10/10 Overall is still 7/10 Which school would you pick and why?
Definitely a joke of a rating, I guess at the end of the day homebuyers who care about school district don’t really rely on that data as much as word of mouth But curious when does Zillow update its data to what great schools new ratings are and how that will impact value
