Green Card Policy — non FAANG corporates
What’s the Green Card Policy for non FAANG Bay Area 10000+ employee companies ? ( Salesforce, Cisco, Intuit, Oracle etc) Do they apply in same classification ( as in someone coming in as EB2 will be applied as EB2) Or, as I know rules for some banks, you have to be staff/senior staff/ director etc to be eligible for EB2/EB1 ? Also, do they apply on day-1 or any policy around that ? Employees please chip in. Tc 230k
I accepted an offer, the company said they will do after 6 months
Oracle said they'd start my GC in 3 months and they kept their word when I joined in 2018
Oracle started GC process in 6 months. The process is very slow BTW
Oracle immigration is shit. Their immigration firm initiate the GC process after one year but they are slow like hell. They never let you know of any updates. It may take them 4 to 5 years before they actually file a PERM application. It is h1b hell in short
Started process/documentation with in first 3 months and filed PERM in a year.
Can confirm that Oracle doesn’t waste too much time before applying for GC. BAL is very slow though.

Oracle starts in 6 months but BAL is a shit show they slow down the process. Imagine every month of delay BAL slows down they make more money on you from Oracle in the long run and Oracle makes even more money by continuing to pay you lower for those many extra years you are stuck in this quick sand. Basically no one gives a duck on your situation.
Don't know if same today, but when I joined was after 1 year.
Sfdc - no official policy. I asked my manager about the GC after about 2 months. Manager was like sure. The attorneys moved really quickly and within a week, I was able to get the EVL and they started the job search by placing ads. Very nice experience!
Were you on h1-b already? Got h1-b this past month. Told need to wait till next January for GC filing
What do you mean ? Salesforce made you wait till January of 2021 ? And your h1b did not start until October of 2020 ?
