I have received RFE for H1 transfer for amazon and legal team has estimated 9 weeks for submission and I estimate further 4 weeks for approval and notice. Since it’s going to be a long wait, Is it wise to join the new company with receipt given the fact USCIS is erratic? If not, any advises on the pitch to convince the hiring team to wait for the result??
tell HM that you are not comfortable joining till the transfer process is complete, Amzn must upgrade your transfer case to premium and it will be over in 15 days
It was filed under premium processing only. The 4 weeks I have estimated is - 2 weeks to hear back from USCIS and 2 weeks notice in case of approval
Is your attorney BAL? These guys take ages to file RFE! Been 9 weeks already and not even close to filing the response
Yeah BAL. haven’t seen a slower legal team than this. Did you join with receipt ?
Nope! Considering my position is NON SWE role, I did not want to risk it. I received my offer letter in say Jan! Almost June now, no where close to filing rfe! BAL is truly frustrating
Atleast 2 months mate, just forget about transfer for 2 months and focus on something else
What role is this for?
Business Analyst. That’s why I’m skeptical to join with receipt
Ya stay put.
Takes atleast 6-8 weeks for them to file response. Hang in tight and good luck
Did your transfer get approved?
Still waiting 😅

What's the reason for the RFE?
Didn’t get any info yet. It takes 3 weeks for the legal team to analyze and provide info is what I was told. Haven’t seen a slower process than this
@IBM: I know what you mean. Try explaining to your manager the risk it poses if you join on receipt. If he thinks are worth the wait, he will wait.
