I am on F1 Visa since 2021 and my Visa got picked in lottery. I plan to go to my home country for H1B stamping. I was filling out ds160 and have doubt related to one of the questions. Ques: Are you applying in the same country or location where the visa above was issued, and is this country or location your place of principal of residence? As per my understanding, the answer should be No. “Visa above was issued” - F1 visa issued in India “Place of principal of residence” - USA So should I mark No? Did anyone face the same scenario? #workvisa #h1b #stamping
Where was your F1 issued? Bharat? Then answer yes, else No.
The answer should be Yes, since our permanent residence is in India. Op, I am also in the same timeline as yours and just finished submitting DS160. DM me for further questions
You are on a VISA in US, your place of principal residence is Bharat( formerly India).
“A principal residence is the place where you live most of the time” - definition I found. That's why I considered the USA. I think Bharat will be a permanent residence and not a principal residence?
