H1B Transfer

I have an offer with Microsoft. I am working out with the recruiter on the offer. My current H1B is in RFE. It might take a minimum of two months to clear the RFE. And then Microsoft might apply for transfer. I am looking at a timeline around 4 months for the entire process to complete. Will Microsoft wait that long or will they revoke the offer?

Probably yes, probably not. Nothing anyone can do. I know it's hard, but go on with your life till there's an update

Microsoft 24816 Aug 30, 2018

What do you mean by your current H1b in RFE ? Your extension got RFE ?

You start your current job on receipt?

SAP Micro-soft OP Aug 30, 2018

I can't because the h1 on rfe is my first h1 on cap

Depends on hiring manager. Mine waited for 6months.

Microsoft waited for 1+ year for me. You are fine...

Not always, they may ditch you if they find suitable candidate internally.

But my skillsets are unique

For me the manager waited 4 months from the day of signing the offer letter to joining date. So it should be fine as long as your manager in reasonably understanding.

H1b transfer would take at least 6months unless you take the risk of joining on receipt

Microsoft nzQR23 Aug 31, 2018

Microsoft waited for 7 months for me.
