My husband has H1b and my H1b also got picked. Do you think I need to take it since I am in my postpartum and want to enjoy 2-3 months of my bonding leave in India. Do you think I need to take H1b? What are the pros and cons of couple both on H1b? Husband i140 will be done by year end and I may get work permit next year.
I140 won’t help much if your husband can’t find a job in 60 days in case of layoff, affecting the ead. So take h1 always
Congrats on the baby.
You are too pure for blind. 😄
You didn't need the h1b really. It'd been better if someone who really needs it was selected.
Why didn’t she need it?
So many people don't need so many things in life but still take it. This is also same. Folks who are unable to get housing argue that people with resources should not take more than 1 house. It's all about security and wants. Everyone does it for something or the other :)
Take it
2 h1bs are better than 1
Take it because you got it.
I would recommend taking the h1 for added security, especially in this volatile job market and a small baby. If one of you needs to look for another job the other person can handle the expenses and 60 day limit will not be as stressful
Take the H1. Time the h1 application and start date based on your due date. Yes, you can select a start date instead of it being default Oct 1. It’s better to be on 2 different H1b and not get tied to one point of failure. It’s same as not putting all your eggs in one basket.
You should take it. In case either one of you have some job trouble, you’ll will be covered
Yeah, leave it for a bachelor to take it. 🤣
