Hey guys, I got an RFE (speciality occupation) for H1B transfer. Is it safe to transfer based on H1B transfer receipt? Are there instances where the transfer gets denied? What options do I have if that’s the case? PS: I’m a direct hire @ both places
don't risk it. wait till approval. if you're not in engineering, you're more vulnerable to a reject. I've heard of PMs getting rejects.
Thank you! In engg & a well paid position, but don’t want to take a risk
Cool, either way, don't risk it. you never know.
Wait till approval...joining on approval not safe
Thanks, will do
Don't take risk unless u don't have an option..uscis guys don't know faang or anything..they go with documentation. .
Definitely wait for the approval. I know a friend who was asked crazy questions as part of RFE including other employees pay so the new employer revoked the offer
Woah
Are you moving to a SRE role? As others said, wait till the approval if you can.
No, SE role
Heard from a friend his friend h1b transfer was rejected. Don’t have much details but this is the new trend
Thanks
Don’t move without h1b approval. Such a sad state of affairs for well educated, well paid, skilled legal immigrants. Meanwhile, illegal immigrants are roaming the streets free. Well done
True. Will take that advise
Can you share your profile? What did you do in bachelors and what did you do in masters?
BS electrical, MS CS
Hmm I have read some immigration firms where if the BS is in some other field than CS then they are getting rfe. Did you Google that?
What's your wage level and SOC code?
Where can I find what is my wage level and soc code?
You should be able to find yours in your H1 submission packet, else check with your filing lawyer. Also, check this - http://www.flcdatacenter.com/oeswizardstart.aspx
Which company to which company were you making the transfer?
One of the FAANG companies
