HBO interview
Interviewing at HBO for an AWS Devops position. Have been invited for an in person interview. Any inputs, advises would be highly appreciated.

You want to join HBO after what they did to game of thrones? Shame on you.
It’s pretty standard 3-4 technical problems interviewing on a whiteboard. We have a lot of room for negotiations on comp, especially in signing bonuses - in fact it’s almost guaranteed that you’d be making more than long time developers here. It’s good WLB - management has been and will probably continue to be moving things and processes around as we dramatically increase the engineering org size, so if youre looking for low ambiguity look elsewhere. Things will be confusing. Good opportunity to have impact at scale, but whether you’ll be rewarded for impact is sometimes based on factors outside your control. Unlikely to see a LC-Hard problem in the interviews. Success depends heavily on who you get in the hiring loop - at the hardest line you would be doing good at a google interview, at the easiest it will be easy with just a bit of studying.
