Are there any folks in tech who are bearing high sensitivity trait well known as HSP? Finding difficult to maintain emotional balance in job.
I am HSP and find tech a really hard lifestyle to sustain. Exercise/yoga, therapy and meditation have helped to some degree, but still feels like swimming upstream most of the time.
Any chance they just need to get laid or take a vacation?
I am like this, I try to WFH in the middle of the week just to reset, gain back my sanity and recover from all of Monday and Tuesdays interactions and go into Tuesday and Friday refreshed

I'm HSP too in that case! Working with people who just do not want to use their heads, leads to emotional bouts - need to learn to calm down
Hispi!
I donāt get any work done in the office. When am alone / wfh my best work happens. I dislike the distractions. I feel sensitive to open plan offices. I just manage my anxiety by having quiet pockets of short walks during the day, interspersed between meetings and thinking work
Iām annoyed by people who canāt focus on getting their work done on time, and as a result of their delay it impacts my work hours.
Yes. Just bought fancy noise cancelling headphones
Can i have it
I hate open offices and loud coworkers. I bought a pair of bose headphones and a pair of airpod pros to fix that. However, I am still not satisfied with my job because of the constant conflict and stress as part of being a PM. Think I need to block out half of Wednesday like suggested in this thread and consider another less stressful job.

I might be? I get annoyed by things like loud talking in an open office or people chewing with their mouths open. Is that what you mean by highly sensitive?
Yes, that is a trait. A constant need of privacy and being alone to be productive. I have it too, Cant stay in office longer, easily overwhelmed by people.
I think that's just introverted
