Had FB Sr. PM product sense and execution interview today. Need idea about nest step.

I had the product sense and execution interview today for Sr. Product Manager. Could not assess really how the interview went, but I did my part did not not realize how 45 mins were gone spoke a lot of different scenarios and metrics. I think sense was better that execution, I was grilled on Instagram story, but I did not use instagram story much, interviewer was from instagram. Did not receive clue from both the interviewers. What are the typical indications we should look for a good one? Also when should I hear back from the recruiter for next step if at all? Any thoughts from blind community? 17 years in tech, owned six product startups. Fortune 100 exp and senior IT Manager, architect, programmer etc.#facebook #productmanager #interview #productmanagement

Generally I try not to give any indication one way way or another because until I analyze my notes and write a summary I won’t know. In fact, when people are doing worse I’m probably nicer. Some interviewers are really slow on getting feedback into the tool (we’re supposed to have it in within a day) and then I’d there is mixed signal (you did not pass on one of the two rounds) there may be discussion with the recruiting coordinator of whether to give you another shot at the round you failed. Usually if you pass one of the two you’ll get a second chance unless it was borderline on the other. Probably 3-5 days to hear back on a average but that’s just a guess.

@QaVO26 Thanks for posting. Can you clarify what meant by ‘unless it was borderline on the other’ Trying to understand in what scenarios you get a follow up interview? Also follow up happens in onsite as well or just first round? Lastly, for leveling, do you count only onsite performance or first round as well. Thank you.

Judging by your quality of English, I wouldn’t get your hopes up. My apologies if this sounds harsh (I’m a senior PM at FB and communications are super important here)

“Communication is” Based on your comment, it doesn’t look like communication is that important.

What if OP is not a native English speaker? I hope interviewers are trained to be not biased on “quality of English”

Took them over a week to get back with a green light for me. They might expedite if you have competing offers
