Had to cancel my date because of this field
So a while back i posted saying how i met this girl my first time going out downtown at my uni and she showed so much interest in me. I told her how my summer in NY went interning at GS and how id join Facebook/Instagram after i graduate this semester. We also exchanged many jokes and generally had a good time. She messages me on insta and asks to hang out. I oblige, offer Monday. She cancels last hour, says feeling sick and wants to feel at 100%. I posit Thursday, I cancel because i had a take home midterm assigned and due that day and couldnt spend entire afternoon/night with her. Now we cant find a time and I feel like shit. I think im a semi attractive guy but its been so hard to meet ppl in college for me considering all id do is personal projects to generate income, leetcode, study, research, etc. Now that I had a chance to actually go on a date with someone i screw it up. Not rlly sure how ill meet/date anyone at this point. Especially considering how Ive read zero dateable women exist in Silicon Valley, so really dreading going there, even for FB TC (pending: 210k)
come the fuck on dude. look at the larger picture and don't be sad because of one failure. you have career figured out now you just need to focus on dating if you want it so badly. you are good man.

This is normal. It is not anyone’s fault. And this will happen whether you work for facebook or farming in your backyard. You will have deadline to meet, outage to fight, family emergency to attend and unexpected commute problems. Don’t let them make you feel sad. Keep the contact. Perhaps hangout during Halloween? If she is into you she will find a time with you and wait with you. If she is not and rushing into the relationship, she is probably not the right one yet.
Honestly once you get right down to it, getting a girl doesn't seem that hard. There's nothing wrong with doing one thing at a time.
