I have been in the company only for few years and i have following concern: 1) A female coworker (scrum master) is misusing her power (female veto card) and complaining the manager saying that I am stepping over her roles and responsibilities. I am a software engineer and all I tried to do is help her with release process which she was unaware. She complained manager stating that if no action is taken she will complain to HR stating she is feeling unsafe. (When she has no evidence) 2) Manager has poor glint score and sets up 1:1 with me stating he can’t help me if a female co worker complained to hr . He told me to look for roles outside of the team. My questions are: - As a male, I feel unsafe as people are misusing the power and gender bias for things without any evidence - Explaining code release process is not stepping over roles and responsibilities of a scrum master but its helping , am I doing something wrong? - I have heard and seen that even if I am right , just because a female co worker puts any allegations against a male, it is taken into account irrespective of the truth. Is that true at Autodesk? - She is then also stating manager that his glint score is less due to me. Which is baseless assumptions and accusations and Manager is threatening me. I would like support from someone here on what shall I do? I did reach out to director about the issue but no luck yet. Im really scared and worried as Im on H1B and have a family dependent on me. Can someone please help me? Its an earnest request. Im unable to sleep due to these false accusations where Manager is not ready to listen both side of the story. It seems she created a scene out of something very minor or small. At times I feel it’s pointless to help non technical team members as it results into such things. I now regret myself for this ——- Just FYI both of us are from same cultural background but it’s unfortunate people at times misuse the power. I did set up 1:1 with her but she said she had no concerns as such. Which is strange that not confronting to us directly but behind the back. And funny part is telling manager that she will complain to HR and Manager tells me that if any female coworkers complain inspite of you not being at fault, he wont help me
You can report your manager because he said things to you. The investigation might root cause to her. Raising on her is pointless because she didn't do/say things to you directly.
Since managers glint score is less he said he can’t help if she complains to hr especially since she is female. This is what he said which was shocking because then as a male i feel insecure now

are you a person of Indian / Chinese background ? folks from India / China often don’t realize their mannerism / attitude sometimes makes other peeps around them uncomfortable(its inherently a subtle culture clash with no fault of anyone ) . May be set up a meeting with her and try to understand her point of view and gather if its something from your part that made her uncomfortable
I would also agree to resolve it with the source directly. Who knows it’s not even her but YOUR manager coming up with weird stories… Set a meeting to say you would like her inputs on resolving this issue.
She herself is indian but no visa issues for her. And all I was explaining was Cicd process to her as she was unaware and she need to send release notifications in emails. I did set up a meeting with her asking her if she had any concerns, and she said no concerns as such she just felt that may be she was doing something wrong so she wanted more info and reached out to manager. Now this is weird that to me she is saying something else and to manager she is complaining behind my back for such a small issue
Op - start interviewing and tell that she is the reason for you leaving.
Chill bro reach out to hr and let them know what happened. Why are you so stressed about it? You can always move to a different team or company. No usse working now with such egoistic person. Feels like they are not comfortable with learning or biased to foreigners. They will pay today or in the future as this sort of behaviour forms a pattern.
Depending on where you are working from, you can maybe record some of the conversations. Either way don't go without a fight. Start lc and apply for other jobs in the meantime and if you're let go or something, make sure to sue. People usually make quite a bit. Just have enough evidence to substantiate your counter claim cause it looks like you're the one being harassed
It is a common thing, some time people in power just wanted to make other people degrade. It is better if you can change team, because even if this case go in your favor, her nature will not change. Good luck 🍀

Sorry you are in this situation. Here’s my take - this woman sounds completely crazy and shouldn’t be leading anything. It’s highly unlikely you’re the first person she’s acted inappropriately with and crazy towards. If you have any close friends who are in management there or know the ins and outs, I would find out if this woman has a history of stuff like this. I’m guessing she does.
The strange part is she is misusing her power , she got hired in the team also due to the fact that her husband is a director in different team in the company.
Yikes, that’s unfortunate. Point still stands though - someone who acts like she does is unlikely to only harass one person. I’m sure other people have complaints about the clown, sometimes they just need a little prodding/feel safe to bring up their issues. Also, she sounds like a ticking time bomb. Only a matter of time until she crosses the line in front of everyone and everyone sees how ridiculous she is. That’s what I think.
