Has Apple actually fired anyone for not coming to the office?

^

Meta buttkisser Apr 24, 2023

No. No one has ever not come to the office. Everyone shows up to the office because we love working there. We love in person work 😁

That sounds like a cult lol

Blink twice if you’re safe

It’s all politics man. They’ll never fire you for not coming into the office but it’ll be indirect. Suddenly your boss doesn’t like the work you’re outputting, etc. and then you’re on PIP or one day your access no longer works and BAM.

I wonder how long I could get away with it though. There’s gona be some cool manager that would let it slide and look the other way. Unless apple has this automated with electronic badges. I can give a coworker my badge. Apple treats its employees like elementary school children

3 months maybe, unless you are actively recruiting, not worth the risk!

Multiple people on the internal remote with advocacy claimed they had to leave because of the wfh mandate. Was it an actual termination? Not sure but I suspect so

Well, what do you expect when you go against the corporate policy without good reasons?

Apple fabilje7 Apr 24, 2023

The expectation for being in the office is clearly laid out. 3 days in office hybrid pilot, and it could change in the future. You decide if you like it, join. You don’t like it, go somewhere else where 100% remote is written. I don’t understand why you are trying to join a place with the intent of sneaking around the rule and calling people that follows the policy elementary school children. If you don’t think this is a good fit for you, why bother at all?

Apple announced rto last fall and recently started sending out emails to people who aren’t complying. Does that mean they just recently started enforcing it?
