How was your experience joining and onboarding remotely? How is the work life balance and general morale of the company? How is the stability of these companies now that we are on path of recovery from covid? Or are there still worries about new layoffs? I am wondering whether I should interview there or not. #tech #softwareengineer #interview #swe #uber #lyft #engineering
What level are you currently
63 at msft
Interview, if u land T5, you would be able to get a sizable bump in tc
not baf
Sorry I have to disagree. I think it's actually not goof
Morale is directly proportional to stock price and we are at a 52 week high.
Theres no females left at lyft
I haven’t noticed this, but a lot of people have left. In your case, Why do you think they left?
I think it depends on the role. SWEs seem to enjoy it and have good wlb.
Uber attrition is really high cause it is a flying mess
I heard uber tried to clean the mess and got rid of ATG and Elevate and also focussing mostly on getting profitable. Is it still a mess there? How does people feel there and the morale? Do you see yourself working there for next 4 to 5 years or will be trying to move out?
If you look at another blind post it shows uber attrition is at 24%. That is insane. Good, talented people are quitting left and right for good reason.
Joined a couple of months ago. Seems to be doing better by the day. Will it last for the next couple of years? Eh.. not so sure about it. Personally, I feel that a lot of regulatory hurdles are going to come up in the future and they can make or break these companies. Onboarding was smooth. Manager and skip seem passionate about the product and are easy to work with.
Did you join uber or lyft?
Lol my bad. I’m at Lyft

Recently joined, and seems like morale is getting better. Onboarding was good, and comp is great. YMMV depending on the team/org. What level are you targeting? What are you looking for from your next job (be honest with yourself if it’s TC, WLB, domain)?
I am looking to interview for L5 level and was mostly concerned about morale and general stability of both uber and lyft. For the next job, I want to have better scope of making an impact, also better tc than current
morale = stock price :)
