In my previous role I was L66 at MS running a 25 people team. Currently at FB managing a 14 people team and indirectly managing a 40 people project. TC: 650k
Sure. It depends on your interview performance. Also, tell them you are m2 at fb. It doesn't make sense to go from fb l6 to Amazon l6. The only plausible move is getting l7.
Any insights into the process?
Tell recruiter you are only targeting l7, and ace the interview. Please don't interview l6, that's downward move.
Why not try to make m2 at fb? Are you already managing managers?
Looking to move to India.
OP how long you are at FB as M1 ? And Total YOE as manager?
1 @ FB, 5 overall
Wow, that's awesome! You were 66 at MS even with less than 5 years of managerial experience OP? I hear even principal engineering manager (L65) role at MS requires ~5 yrs of managerial experience? No?
You are not going to get meaningful inecrese in comp, if that’s what you’re after.
Nope. Looking to move to India and need a company that lets me take my Rsu
Amazon let you keep the RSU while you internal transfer…does FB don’t do that ?
I get lots of recruiters from Amazon advertising those roles, so I'd imagine it's possible.

Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
I knew some Apple ICT5s joined Amazon as L7, so it’s definitely possible or very likely for FB M1s.
Could you please elaborate what was their scope at Apple before they made there switch?
I only know IC cases, not sure about M track, they are all technically responsible for a few components/sub-services of a big product or platform. I know this scope looks not that big, but it is how Apple leveling works, scope doesn’t change much from 2 to 3, and the same for 4 to 5.
