Hayward’s a big city with many beautiful pockets, such as Mission Garin. If your kids don’t go to elementary school in 5 years, I’ll definitely explore Hayward. (Rent/sell and upgrade afterwards) People won’t believe or have forgotten how Mtn View (yes), Redwood City, San Bruno, Warm Springs were 20-5 years back.
Whether the place is safe or not, do you want buy in a neighborhood that fell so steeply that it took 10 years to recover? Much longer than places few miles away?
