I received an offer from Databricks, can choose either options (strike price $13.8) or RSUs at 75% of the amount of stock options. What to choose? My calculation with taxes showed that options are more interesting if valuation jumps to 10bn (2.7bn today) Thoughts?
RSUs
Rsus. Don't count on stock appreciation unless you have a good reason to... Not just blind optimism.
Rsus
Is that even a question? Unless your grant is worth tens of millions now I guess.
I laughed so hard when I read valuations jumps to 10bn xD
Good post.
Or you are already super rich looking into investing in this company.
In this case RSUs. Usually the choice is for a smaller percentage of RSUs which make the valuation jump needed for options reasonable. But 75% means you go with RSUs
How do RSUs work at a non public company like databricks?
LOL at damnass responses hete
*IF* is the keyword here. I’d take RSU, no risk of being under water
