I'm currently facing a dilemma between two job offers - one from Cadence and another from Synopsys. For Synopsys , I have offer from Formal VC team and for Cadence I have offer from Quantus team. Both offers seem quite similar, with similar base salary, joining bonus, and RSU. However, I'm having a hard time deciding which one to choose. I would appreciate any insight on the work culture and environment in the Quantus team at Cadence and the Formal VC team at Synopsys to help me make an informed decision. depends on offer terms. But I would say atleast 5 lakh. Synopsys offered me 3 back in 2020 with 2 yoe
Yes, the joining bonus is very less. For Senior R&D 1, They gave 5-10L And you are Staff R&D engineer
Ask for 15L Jb 50L base
I also want to decide on the basis of work and work culture. Cadence is offering principle software Engineer. Synopsys is offering staff R&D Engineer

What's your current pay? Synopsys ESPP look over period is 2 years and cadence 6 months Synopsys provides interest free 5 lakh personal loan and cadence doesn't Synopsys provides interest free car loan and cadence doesn't Cadence provides conveyance allowance of ~70k per year and synopsys doesn't. Cadence food is good and they give subsidised food , you will have to pay small portion. synopsys gives Sodexo coupons and food options aren't good. Cadence work culture is bit better, both companies won't give much RSU during hike cycle. They might not give rsu at all most of the times. Both are good and for your experience you should expect 8-10 lakh joining bonus but they might ask for retention conditions and the base it totally depends on your current pay if your pay is decent then 48-50L is good pay. I think RSU max you can get is around 32-35 i think. Other companies might provide high rsu but not synopsys and cadence. Don't expect good hike for next 2 yrs in either of these companies
For levels principal and above, cadence pays for car allowance of ~2L per year.
there is no food in office option in Synopsys only ~2.5k Rs Sodexo coupon per month.
Cadence offer is Principal or Sr Principal? Staff offer at Synopsys base can be 50L -55L. RSU Max is 60K for 3 years. Offer in 2022
Cadence offer is principle software engineer.
Please give me some more insights on my questions.
I have worked at any of them but afaik, hikes at synopsys are better compared to Cadence

Great!! I don know about Quantus to be honest but there’s politics in almost all teams that I know. Cadence has been hiring aggressively and they play games during Promotional cycle or increments. I know quite few who are not happy the way things went.
