#Apple #SAP #Compensation Hi, I received an offer from Apple of 133K base salary, 60K RSU, 15K joining bonus and Remote opportunity (Dallas), 10 years experience. I talked to couple to friends and they felt they, offer is on lower side but they work in different domain, therefore wasn't sure if the salaries in SAP are lower in Apple. I asked for employee/job level (example IC4, IC5) and recruiter said there is no such thing in Apple. But the feedback from my friends is otherwise, my offer letter also did not include job level. Appreciate your feedback, need to respond on offer in couple days.
“I asked for employee/job level (example IC4, IC5) and recruiter said there is no such thing in Apple.” It is definitely a thing and they should tell you the level. They told me mine when I got the offer.
Btw how did you negotiate for remote work?
They posted it as Austin, but they themselves mentioned it is remote opportunity as other team members and manager is also remote.
133k base for senior swe? i know it's remote but still...
This is very likely not a SWE role.
makes sense then!
I would probably choose construction worker job vs. this shit offer. The base should be 200, the RSU 150/year, plus 10-15% bonus. This offer is a total garbage. Indian body shop can pay probably more than this.
lol 133k base for Senior at Apple 🤦 In Midwest, LCOL my base is 125k as Senior SWE but not FAANG though
People harping on OPs comp - this is a nontechnical role. IC vs ICT. Apple has both. If it is a technical role, I join the lols.
This is a technical role . Is there an application engineer category (not software) and they may have different salary range? And my job does not involve coding, it's more like configuration and access (role) definition
there are bunch of company you can make more than 140k with 10+ experiences
Did you accept the offer ? What was the final numbers ? May I know what your job duties like configuration / access role etc ?
Hey, did Apple request reference checks as part of their background check? I’m going thru interviews with them and wondering if reference checks are part of the process.

How did this happen? (Meta Stock)
You’re given a basic lower end IC4 offer. Take it leave it, negotiate if you have other competing offers.
Thanks for feedback. I have other job interview in progress, but it can take time. Can you suggest where I can negotiate base salary, joining bonus or RSU? Base salary is less then my current base salary but I do not have the stock/RSU component at current job,
Do not count on stock and RSU, there’s many teams in Apple that employ “winner takes all”. Mention the base pay is not up to the market and you need it to be at x amount. And yes, recruiter should be able to confirm which IC level is it.
