Tax hard working individuals to pay Chad to get laid everyday and major in business, social sciences and history? And then pay for unemployment benefits because immigrants supposedly took all the stem jobs... https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2019-05-06/american-college-students-are-choosing-to-major-in-health
Exactly. We should all opt out of taking part in the health care industry just to teach Chad a lesson!
Free college is a bad idea.
You people ever thought that maybe higher education has benefits outside of supplying skilled labor? Or is everything about money? If so, I suggest you guys go back and major in philosophy; you’ll be happier!
The IRS doesn't take feelings and intangibles out of your paycheck, does it?
You ever think that maybe there are other ways to provide free higher education without increasing individual taxes? Do you know how much we spend on funding the military?
It isn't ridiculous in every other country, though? It would boost the US economy were college free or at least heavily subsidized. Don't be jealous just because Chad got laid and you didn't.
So make only STEM tuition free ?
It's already moving that direction. Look up lambda school.
Lambda School is an interesting concept. Do you foresee it going mainstream or popular in a few years? (Maybe comparable to the biggest coding bootcamps?)
Lol incel
Yeah, thinking about flagging this as a troll/incel rant.
"Lol incel" is your best comeback? Maybe if you had actually learnt something in college, you could come up with a real argument to make...
Ok then, that rant was fairly convincing. In this case, just tax the rich and businesses.
Why should rich pay tax so someone can spend over 5 years in college to complete a degree in underwater basket weaving?
Why not?
Imagine everyone has a free college degree. Such a degree is worth nothing because everyone has it. You will be expected to have a college degree to work minimum wage jobs which require a high school diploma today.
How can someone work at Google and be this dense? It’s not the degrees that drive down wages, it’s employers. Maybe if everyone had a degree we’d be collectively smart enough to create an economic system that isn’t based on making profits for the sake of making profits -> which is the real reason why wage depreciation occurs.
Lol indeed is in some fantasyland. You're just a thinker. Be a doer.
Damn it OP this isn't /pol/. Hide your powerlevel.
It's literally tagged "politics" !
I can handle the business side.
If only I had a penny for every time I've had that masterpiece dropped on me...
