I currently live in Ireland and really wanna leave due to the increasing issues facing young people in this country(cost of living, public transport, housing and rent crisis). I have 1.5 years of experience in the industry. My experience techstack includes Cloud and QA but and extremely open to learning new tech. I'm from the Republic of Ireland so I have an EU passport and can work anywhere. I'm also open to working in the USA but it's most likely hard to due to the companies having to sponsor visas. Please don't be afraid to ask me any questions. I'm an open book :) #software #engineering #referral #germany #sweden #switzerland #netherlands #belgium #spain #usa #america #canada
I got an offer from Google in Dublin. Is the cost of living really that bad?
Oh yes, and thats if you can find a place. FAANG companies usually pay enough for developers in Dublin to be able to afford it. But its still insanely expensive, its hard to find a place and if you do find a place, it will most likely be awful.
US will be very tougher than EU.
Ya, I figured that it would be hard to get into. But thought I would put it there anyway if something came up
An Irish passport allows you to work in UK as well right? Plenty of tech jobs in London. Dm for Amazon.
Hey man, London is also a place I would like to move to. Mainly looking for good public transport. Which ireland is horrible at. What position do you think would be good for somebody with 1.5 years experience? 1 of of those years was as a cloud developer at a fortube 100 company
Hate to break it to you, but COL everywhere is kinda fucked
What's COL?

Why Northern Ireland not part of Ireland?
