Hide work experience at background check?

I have a two months short term work at a firm. I left as i had serious problems with the manager. Do i have to be frank on this experience when I interview for a job or at background check conducted by a new employer?

Just leave it off resume. 2mo not worth noting.

Depends how far back it was, generally they check up to 4 years back. You can always say you tried your own startup instead but couldn’t get it off the ground instead or just say you traveled for that time.

Can they actually check? Twitter was only time I got a legit background check. I requested a copy and as far as I can tell, they only called HR at the companies I listed and confirmed that I was employed at the places I said I was employed. I don’t think I omitted anything, so not sure what would have popped up.

You can choose to exclude it in your resume. You only want to fit the best parts in the 1-2 pages available. It’s not the same as lying. And when it comes to background check, they want to verify only what you mentioned in resume. So just mention only the stuff from resume.
