In the next few months, the people who were laid off recently are going to be in the job market. Make no mistake, these are people from Meta, Amazon, Salesforce etc. who are very smart and have cleared high hiring bars in the past. With so many of these in the market, the competition is going to be fierce. I believe all these will eventually find a job, but it's a lottery for employers. They can negotiate lower prices and have lots of choice in the market. Prepare hard guys!

Did she say ok or alright?
Thanks for heads up.
Tc or gtfo.
Gtfo then
Let’s go.. Survival of fittest! It’s not a new concept
Darwin’s theory of evaluation ✨
Wouldn’t it be survival of the fattest for SWs ?
Hopefully the competition will lead to TC’s come back to earth. And End to full WFH.
Full wfh won't end at msft. Pushed too many people remote and in tx, Atlanta, latam
Why exactly do you want those two things to happen, Northrop?
Now companies will get good talent for less money. I also belive other companies will also start firing avg engineers.
If they allow replacement of headcount…
Why would I fire a 5 year tenured "average" engineer for a metamate that's just going to leave my team for higher TC the second it becomes a mildly hot market again?
And maybe we will only have excellent recruiters left and all the bad ones will be forced to enter new careers.
Bwahahaha!!!
Ya excellent recruiters.... but from company perspective.... so harder to negotiate :)
thank Fed for creating this massive bubble
And if the bubble does not pop now it the future pop will even worst than 2008.
In my mind, these layoffs "are" a pop, just in a different way economically speaking.
I’m not worried, all these rest and vesters who got piped because they work 2 hrs a week has no chance against me
Not really. High performers were kicked out as well.
Says the Cisco guy. Cisco is literally a government office, lol. Rest and vesters heaven.
