Fellow blinders, Do you have high yield savings accounts? What banks do you use? I am currently researching CIBC. Have heard if ally online bank but somehow don’t trust it. What other options are out there?
Discover
I have Discover and Alliant Credit Union
How are they? Any red flags? Hidden fees or anything?
Both are no fees. Both APY 2.1%. Discover also has an extra $200 bonus if you deposit $25K.
I’ve used ally bank for around 5 years and they’ve been around since 2008. Totally trustworthy, great app and website.
Hsbc direct
Ally was renamed from GMAC which was largely complicit in the 2008 recession
Interesting info. Interesting!!
High yield is relative, and high yield savings are an oxymoron.
Let’s say something better than chase’s 0.01% lol
Bank of America lol .02%
Wealthfront cash account at 2.51% APY and FDIC insured up to $1M.
Usually it's 250k. Any reason for fdic ins of 1M? Is it only online banking? Any other catch? I was looking for something like this.
1 million spread across 4 banks
Goldman Sachs Marcus Savings account is a possible option.
Do you have it? Are there any red flags I should consider?
+1 on that. I have it. No flags
