I am posting this for an unemployed friend. HireRight is asking for my college Professor or HOD name and phone number. They r asking this information after I provided my Bachelors Diploma and transcripts. The problem I am facing is that I completed my Bachelors 25 years ago. And I am not in contact with my HOD or college. And also the college I studied is located in a remote place in India. The question I have is can I give phone number of a person that can vouch for my education credentials. Or it has to be the HOD that I studied under? And also has anyone faced this situation before? A quick response is much appreciated
I'm in the US but just went through this with Hire right and just gave them the registrar phone number. They were able to verify from there

Contact of anyone at your University or college will help. Not a friend who can vouch for your credentials.
