Joining Google in May. Going through the HireRight form and it has a box for the present employer saying “permission to contact the employer” but doesn’t have for the previous employers. I assumed they would just called up theworknumber and get the employment history. Does anyone know if it matters to check that box or no? YOE - 19 Present TC - 700K
It’s ok not to check the box. In this case, you would have to upload few documents from your current employer. For previous employers, they would mostly likely call and check your employment history.
Hi, do they ask for job titles, dates, etc? or just the employer?
All that you just mentioned
Hello @Chaurangi, I am also going to start google in May and I didn't check the box just to be cautious. The report shows that only educational verification is pending now. Can I dm you to chat about few things? Are you joining in MTV or Seattle?
TC....what do you do?
Hi OP I’m going through the same process at the moment. What did they do to verify previous employment
I checked the box and provided them with the worknumber service. Apparently HireRight goes through worknumber anyways. It was easier than redacting W2s etc.
By work number do you mean you provided them with a number to a point of contact (HR) from your previous employer? Thanks for the quick response!
Past how many jobs does Google consider/verify ?
I didn’t check that box
