So i have been reading a lot in here that many people did onsite interview and the next day the recruiter already gave a feedback. 1. Does this mean the company only interview 1 candidate only? 2. Is the company hiring because the position is open or they just want to get bright talents? If recruiters/hiring manager here know about this info, i would love to hear. I am just curious. Less trolling please..
1. As for company doing just one a day, that's a simple no. There's so many interviews here every day that most buildings have at least 2 rooms labeled as interview rooms only. 2. Both
At Amazon it's usually one candidate per day for a panel of interviewers, unless it's a hiring event/blitz. Big companies always have open positions so even if the one you interviewed for gets filled, there are many other open positions, probably even in a sister team. It's binary result: either you pass or not. If you pass you will get an offer 99%, even if there are other candidates that passed for the same position. Some other big companies are different. Eg. Microsoft interviews for a position. If you get an offer a wait to long to accept it, you need to reinterview for another position
At MSFT, If you interview for another position under same org you will typically go through manager interview (soft loop).
I was told it's full loop, maybe to get me to accept ASAP
