Hello everybody, I had to take an extended personal leave earlier this year and looked to re-enter the job market almost 4 months ago. Needless to say, the timing couldn't be worse. I made it into the later rounds as an L6 DS candidate at Amazon before the recent wave of layoffs, rescinded offers, and ghosting recruiters basically put me back at square zero. I would greatly appreciate any referrals or leads that you friendly folks could offer. I have 5 years of experience as a lead/senior data scientist at a management consulting firm, another 5 years as a marketing scientist, and a couple years working at an imaging lab as a junior data guy and modeler. Although I worked directly on-site using client infrastructure and credentials with companies like Google, Disney, and Genentech for years, I feel like my consulting background leaves me as a stretch candidate for the roles I'm typically used to, even more than before. As such, I'm open to suggestions, and please feel free to DM me if you'd like more details about me or would like me to send anything over. Companies I've applied to and would love a recommendation: Atlassian Veeva Zillow Square/Block Snap Adobe Optum/UHG Sony Pictures Myriad Genetics Riot Games Microsoft (I received one from a former client for a position I feel I'm a very good fit for, but I sense she's very stressed and didn't wanna ask for more) As I said before, very open to suggestions. Only restricted by location for in-person roles, I will not be able to relocate from southern California. Thank you very much for your time and I hope you all have a great, much needed Thanksgiving break! Almost forgot TC: Formerly $275k, currently a $25 Target gift card #referral #thankyouverymuch
