Can any current employees talk about how they're doing? Good place to work? It seems like they're recruiting a ton of engineers lately. Solid growth and valuation but mixed reviews on Glassdoor.
Not a current employee, but currently interviewing with Hopper in NYC for a SWE role. When I talked with my recruiter he mentioned their good WLB/remote work opportunities (most devs work remote once or twice a week and travel/vacation is encouraged) and that the company is looking to rapidly scale atm, especially on the engineering side. I don't know which location you're asking about (if any in general), but I was told that they are moving to a brand new office in April for the NYC location and they're looking to double their headcount by the end of 2020 and then again by the end of 2021 (26 devs in the current NYC office). I'm interviewing with a couple companies atm including FAANG, but hopper does seem pretty interesting based off my interactions with the company so far
Can you elaborate more on the new office?
stay away from travel industry ..
Why so? I think it'll definitely take a hit from the corona virus scares/pandemic, but everything will bounce back eventually once this blows over
well, that’s certainly the hope.. but i would recommend to stay away if possible.
