I think traditional SQL is infinitely better than NoSQL (ie MongoDB) and the "scalability" argument is not strong enough argument for NoSQL
Cool story, bro.
Mongo has so many problems man. Get to work
I'm not even a dev. So nah. 😂
Isn’t this argument like a decade late?
~Just junior eng things~
I’d argue sticking by noSQL is the junior eng thing to do Postgres continues to stand the test of time in clearly defined data models
I used to advocate for NoSQL when it was considered "cool" and "innovative". After working on both, I realized I was naive
Maybe only use NoSQL if we don't want consistency like social media 🤔 🤷
Having gone through the noSQL hype 10 years ago. It's all about use cases and adoption. What technology works best for your use-case, and is your team/company willing to adopt any decisions against the status quo.
'It depends' phrase makes you look very smart
90 percent of present world use cases can be achieved by rdbms

Neo4J has its moments
I've been wanting to be able to try it out for 5 years. Still haven't got to play with it in a real project.
I mean eventual consitency has it's pros......
I agree.
