Is Stockton a good city to buy a house for primary residence and commute to Santa Clara? House prices are pretty reasonable in this city.
I know the idea of a cheaper house is nice. But keep in mind there’s always a reason (or multiple) why it’s cheaper.
How about wfh couple of days in a week and airbnb other days in bay? And if not Stockton I guess than Sacramento is next option.
You can buy it and rent a couch in Santa Clara during the work week.
If you are going to do that, buy in Nevada where you aren’t donating 10% of your income to be surrounded by crime.
That would make it a hell of a commute.
Buy that house plus an RV. Live in the RV during the week and go back Friday evening.

Then Fresno is not bad either. Much better schools over there.

Theres a reason Stockton is cheap. Yes some decent areas but overall... plus two hour commute each way????

OP are you new to the area or how this crazy idea passed thru your head?
I have heard many people doing it.
Ok you can start by renting 6months and see how it goes
Haha looks like op wants to get rid of her house
Fuck no. You might as well ask if Trenton is a good commute from NYC or Gary from Chicago.
Dear god no
Reasons please?
