Granted I'm 4 years of experience and interviewing mostly for SDE2 - Mid Level positions just under senior. I've read a lot of posts of people struggling with interviews and before my current role at Microsoft I failed every other interview. As a quick note I'm joining uber June 27th as L4 but passed instacart, tinder, robinhood, tiktok, lyft, and Twitter. I spent 1 month, 2 hours a day focusing on leetcode medium and strictly worked on memorizing the patterns outlined in this article. https://hackernoon.com/14-patterns-to-ace-any-coding-interview-question-c5bb3357f6ed I will say I did get lucky with a large number of tree questions which I believe are the easiest and did struggle the most with DP but I found these patterns made each problem easy to identify. What happened with Google and Meta ?
I failed Google before I joined Microsoft and I didn't feel like adding faang to my recent round And meta had a hiring freeze
Did you practice LC hards?
Tbh only like once or twice, but I found if I could get down lc mediums I didn't need to concern myself with lc hard Also anyone is free to tell me if I'm wrong but I just haven't seen lc hard in interviews and the higher the level the more important system design is
Any tips on the system design interviews?
Did nobody ask you system design questions?
Every company had two system design rounds and 2 coding rounds except instacart and tinder
Congratulations! How did you prepare for LLD and HLD rounds, if there were any?
I have the advantage of being in ios so I studied pretty exclusively around that for system design But watched youtube videos and just really got down basic design patterns for mvvm and client to server interaction
Is Microsoft remote?
It's based on teams but I am remoge
How the hell do you folks do so many interviews. If I have more than 2 companies scheduling time with me at once my productivity at my day job grinds down to zero and I throw up a little when I hear a question about a hypothetical situation

Arenât SWEs supposed to be introverts? So draining
How was robinhoodâs?
The last round was kinda fun because instead of typical leetcode it was coding a synchronous queue for processing orders in order even when the calls finish out of order The system design was really nitpicky And then the ios coding round was a tad tricky since it was programming animation
Congrats! Also TC or GTFO.
